About the School
Crossland P.S. is named after Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Crossland. The Crossland family moved to Newmarket from Toronto in 1949. At that time Newmarket had a population of only 4000, a small community where most people knew each other. The Crossland family took on the challenging occupation of farming and did so for forty years. Our school motto is "Perseverance Conquers". Our school mascot is the cougar.
